Website Terms of Use

Please read these terms ("Terms") before using this website. By using the Website, you agree to them — if you don't agree, please don't use the Website.

These Terms cover www.beyondtoday.org.uk and all associated pages (the "Website"), which is run by Beyond Today Collective CIC, trading as "Beyond Today" ("we", "us" or "our"), registered office Marsh House Community Centre, Bramingham Lane, Luton, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom, LU3 3SR, company number 17467108. "You" means anyone accessing or using the Website.

Using this website

The Website is intended for use by adults aged 18 and over, from within the UK. If you access it from elsewhere, you're responsible for complying with any local laws that apply to you.

We try to make the Website as accessible as possible — see our Accessibility page. If you have difficulty using it, email us at hello@beyondtoday.org.uk and we'll do what we can to help.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Website for anyone who doesn't comply with these Terms or any applicable law.

Your privacy

Any personal information you give us — including through our contact form or by signing up to our mailing list — is handled in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Content you send us

Our contact form is how you get in touch, join an activity, volunteer, or share your story with Beyond Today Voices. When you send us something, you're confirming that it's true to the best of your knowledge, that it's yours to share, and that it doesn't unlawfully infringe anyone else's rights — for example, sharing identifiable personal information about someone else without their agreement.

We won't publish anything you share, including a story submitted to Beyond Today Voices, without separately agreeing that with you first. What we explain, and the choices you have, are set out in our Safeguarding policy.

We may decide not to use or publish something you've sent us, and we're not obliged to give a reason.

If something you tell us raises a safeguarding concern, we'll handle it in line with our Safeguarding policy — which may mean acting on it even without your consent, in the limited circumstances explained there.

Ownership and use of our content

We own or are licensed to use the content on this Website — text, illustrations, photographs, video and design. It's protected by copyright, and you mustn't use it for commercial purposes without our permission.

You may link to our homepage, provided you do so fairly and in a way that doesn't damage or misrepresent our reputation, or suggest an endorsement that doesn't exist.

You must not use any automated tool — a bot, scraper, crawler or similar — to access, copy or monitor this Website or its content, including to develop, train or validate any AI system or model.

We expressly reserve our rights over this content, including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of the EU Digital Copyright Directive ((EU) 2019/790). This matters to us in particular because people share deeply personal stories through Beyond Today Voices, and we don't consent to that content being used to train AI systems.

Accuracy of information and availability of the website

Content on this Website — including our Insights posts — reflects personal experience, opinion and general information. It isn't professional, medical, legal or financial advice, and shouldn't be relied on as such. If you need support now, our Safeguarding page lists emergency and crisis contacts.

We try to keep the Website accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee it will always be error-free or available. To the extent permitted by law, we don't accept liability for loss arising from reliance on Website content.

Hyperlinks and third-party websites

The Website may link to third-party websites, including our social media pages. These links are for your convenience — we don't control third-party websites and aren't responsible for their content. A link doesn't mean we endorse them, and any third-party website you visit is governed by its own terms.

If you make a donation through this Website, that transaction may also be subject to the terms of our payment provider.

Limitation of our liability

We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Beyond that, to the extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website, or from reliance on its content.

Keeping the website secure

We don't guarantee the Website will be free from bugs or viruses. You're responsible for your own device security, including antivirus protection.

You must not misuse the Website — including by introducing viruses or other harmful code, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or attacking it through a denial-of-service attack. Doing so may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and we'll report any such activity to the relevant authorities.

Events beyond our control

We won't be liable for any failure to meet these Terms caused by something beyond our reasonable control, such as system or network failure, or flood, fire or similar events.

Changes to these terms

These Terms are dated 24 September 2026. We may update them from time to time; the current version will always be on this page, and continuing to use the Website means you accept any changes.

Governing law and disputes

If you're unhappy about anything, please contact us — we'll try to sort it out quickly and directly.

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
